Our Training Philosophy
At Canine & You we use a balanced approach to train each dog. Every dog is different so we use a program that encourages each dog to learn at their own pace. We focus on understanding the dog’s behavior, building trust and clear communication.
We teach all the commands with positive reinforcment first to build a clear understanding of what is being asked. With time and experience your dog will learn what each command means so we have clarity when we start experiencing distractions. Ultimately your dog will understand how much more freedom they can experience by having reliable obedience.
We do use tools to achieve super reliable results. We can tailor a program that would work best for you if tools aren’t really your thing. If you are unsure we can show you what each program would look like during an evaluation.
